I stayed with my wife at hotel Mediodia from 23rd to 25th February,2024. It was very close to main train station Madrid. I traveled from Barcelona to Madrid by fast train but the Hotel was visible right from the station exit and it perhaps took less than 10mins to arrive at the hotel. The location is excellent near Arte Metro station very close to the hotel. There were so many restaurants to select next to the hotel including a souvenir shop very close.. The staff at the reception were very helpful and at our request it booked two tickets for us over phone for FLAMENCO SHOW. Our breakfast was not included. Leaving this negative points , it's an excellent hotel and I recommend it to everyone who visits Madrid.

I've been staying here for years, usually when I'm travelling in or out of Madrid on trains. It's always the same great service., and so close to Atocha station. They gave me my room right away. They aren't big rooms, but they have everything I need and all well laid out and comfortable. The staff are always there to assist and answer questions. Strong WIFI, good desk setup, lots of shelves and hangers, usually a balcony, which is nice to have, and a very comfortable double bed. Plus it's reasonable compared to what other hotels in Madrid are now charging. It's just a great place all around.

The staff are exceptionally helpful. My room was really massive on the front of the building. Thought it was rather dark due to the ancient shutters on the window. These chained closed for safety reasons. The double glazing was good as the road outside is manic with traffic. I didn't mind this, I am used to it, but some people might. Bathroom was also big. This is a historic hotel with beautiful features. Slept really well most nights, as I found both mattress and pillow to my liking. The location is perfect for the museums, The Retiro park and Atocha station.

The location is quite central, strategic if you are on public transport/intercity train/airport express but not crowded and noisy. El Retiro Park is just across, Atocha train station is walkable despite uphill, and metro station is just a few steps away. The room size is adequate, although quite small for the price. Amenities are basic but enough, Hotel lobby decor is nice and grand. The double bed was small but fair, good for the room. Several cafe and restaurants (halal) on the same block too. Overall it is a nice hotel, room, reception, location.

Location! Right in front of the Rena Sophia, and right across from the Atocha train station - excellent location. We picked the hotel as we were doing a number of daytrips via train, and was easy walk over to the train. Cab stand right outside the hotel as well. Could not really hear street noise (ask for a room facing the back at the square the Rena Sophia is on). Clean spacious room with good shower water pressure. Helpful staff. Breakfast buffet (but no variety) for 12e. excellent stay.
